SQL> startup
ORA-01078: failure in processing system parameters
LRM-00109: could not open parameter file '/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1/dbs/initDB11G.ora'

FIX

execute following commands
env|grep ORA|sort
cat /etc/oratab
ps -ef|grep pmon

check if ORACLE_SID set to proper value. set the environment to proper values,

$ export ORACLE_SID=orcl
